Trade Show Visit: Anuga Food Show 2025 & K Show 2025

In October 2025, the TBIC team visited Anuga Food Show in Cologne and K Show in Düsseldorf on consecutive days to identify European companies with interest in U.S. expansion.

At Anuga, discussions focused on food and beverage producers and related suppliers exploring U.S. market entry, with particular attention to processing, packaging, logistics, and sustainability requirements. Several companies expressed concrete interest in next steps and follow-up conversations.

At K Show, TBIC met with firms from the plastics and rubber industry, including advanced materials and machinery suppliers, many of which highlighted growing interest in North American production and supply chain diversification.

Across both trade shows, the TBIC team identified a number of qualified European companies at different stages of U.S. expansion planning. These back-to-back visits once again demonstrated the value of targeted trade show presence for early-stage lead generation and relationship building in key European industries.

Trade Show Visit: DSEI, London, United Kingdom

In September TBIC had the opportunity to connect with European defense companies at DSEI in London for the first time. The European defense industry, ranging for armored vehicles to protection clothing, radar technology to large-scale ammunition production, experiences its most dynamic growth for decades. With individual company meetings and networking with relevant stakeholders from six different countries, TBIC wanted to make sure, that its regions are not missing out on upcoming U.S. expansions and partnerships. 🇪🇺🇬🇧🇺🇸

We are excited about the first DSEI in Germany in 2027, which will be part of our agenda again.

FDI Trip: Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing in Germany (incl. IAA MOBILITY)

Our four-day delegation trip to Germany began in Stuttgart and traveled through Baden-Wuerttemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Bavaria, where we engaged with industry partners as well as industry leaders and internationally active companies in the automotive, food, and chemical industries who are looking to grow their business in the U.S.

The mission concluded at the IAA MOBILITY Show in Munich, held every two years and recognized as Europe’s leading automotive event. The exhibition offered an opportunity to observe emerging industry trends and innovations firsthand and to discuss the future of transatlantic trade in the automotive sector.

TBIC Transatlantic Business & Investment Conference 2025 – Thank You, Chicago!

What a day it was in Chicago! On August 26, more than 130 participants came together for the Transatlantic Business & Investment Conference 2025, making it our largest and most engaging gathering yet.

From the opening remarks by Consul General Brian Cahalane (Ireland) and Consul General Michael Ahrens (Germany), to thought-provoking insights from Jeffrey Korzenik (Fifth Third Bank) on today’s global economy, the stage was set for a full day of transatlantic exchange.

Our panels and fireside chats spanned the issues that matter most to our community:

  • Navigating the impact of tariffs and global trade shifts on FDI
  • Energy competitiveness and the balance of clean and conventional sources
  • The realities of site selection for datacenters and SMEs alike
  • Data-driven tools and workforce strategies to prepare U.S. communities for future growth

Speakers from across industry, government, and academia shared their experiences, while participants engaged in candid discussions on how to turn big-picture trends into local strategies. And, of course, the networking throughout the day proved just as valuable as the sessions themselves.

A warm thank you goes to all our sponsors, members, partners, and guests who helped make the day a success. Your engagement and contributions continue to strengthen this transatlantic network of collaboration and opportunity.

Looking ahead: #TBIC2026

We are already turning our attention to next year’s conference. The search for a new host city is underway, and we are excited to explore where the TBIC community will gather next. If your community would like to host or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to Matthias ([email protected]).

We look forward to building on the conversations from Chicago and welcoming you to an even stronger #TBIC2026!
