In November 2024, the Transatlantic Business & Investment Council (TBIC) attended the Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, Germany, a key event in the aerospace industry. As a hub of European space technology, Bremen provided an excellent platform for engaging with innovative companies and industry leaders.The expo showcased the latest advancements in space technology and highlighted opportunities for European aerospace firms to expand into the thriving U.S. market, valued at over $200 billion. From NASA-led collaborations to private-sector partnerships, the potential for innovation and growth is immense.

At the heart of VW’s headquarters, TBIC joined forces with our Tennessee partners, Greater Chattanooga Economic Partnership and the Tennessee Valley Authority, to connect with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 automotive suppliers. As one of Europe’s premier automotive events, the Internationale Zuliefererbörse (IZB) provided invaluable opportunities to meet industry innovators and discuss potential expansions into the U.S. market.

This week, the TBIC Team attended FACHPACK, one of the leading European trade shows for the packaging industry.

Since 1979, every year stakeholders from all over the world come together in Nuremberg, Germany to do business, network and discuss the latest trends in the packaging industry – sustainability being one of the key topics this year.

The visit in Nuremberg was a great opportunity to expand TBIC‘s business network and discuss U.S. market entry strategies with enterprises from all over Europe.

For decades, the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) has been the global platform for the aerospace and defense industry.

With more than 1,200 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors from all over the world, the FIA is among the most important shows for EDOs to maintain existing, and to establish new relevant contacts among leading companies from all parts of the supply chain. Again, TBIC could set up meetings for participating members and was able to connect with new companies growing from their initial start-up phase, as well as with established household names of the aerospace and defense industries.

FIA alternates with the Paris Air Show and will return in Summer 2026.

In June, TBIC attended ILA Berlin, one of the premier events for the aerospace industry in Europe. For two days, our team engaged with a multitude of highly ambitious entrepreneurs, exploring their exciting plans for expansion into the U.S. market.

ILA Berlin, renowned as one of the longest-standing air shows in the world, continues to be a key platform for showcasing cutting-edge technology and fostering global collaborations. In 2024, the event brought together over 600 exhibitors and around 100,000 visitors from across the globe, underscoring its pivotal role in the aerospace sector.
